Accepting the award on behalf of the TAT, Ms. Suladda Sarutilavan, Assistant Director of TAT Mumbai Office, said, “Thailand is one of the few international locations today which has established a niche in the Indian mainstream cinema. About 464 Indian films were shot in Thailand in during January to September 2012 alone, the second highest number after Japan. Indian filmmakers tell us they find great variety of locations with attractions ranging from shopping, nightlife, eco-tourism products, beaches, culture, and cuisine. Extremely good costs and high professionalism of the production crew are also major contributing factors. We are ecstatic to have received this award and extend our thanks to the Indian film industry”.
